Trailer for the award-winning short film 'Just Add Water', all about the community of people based in Adur & Worthing who swim in the sea all year round. Why do they do it? What do they get out of it? How does it feel?

Shot entirely on the beaches of West Sussex between February and June 2022, 'Just Add Water' explores themes such as mental health and wellbeing, PTSD, grief, community and the joy of being in nature.

With original music by local artists and support from the Creative Commissions scheme, 'Just Add Water' is an inspiring celebration of the act of swimming in cold water, of living in Adur & Worthing and of what it is to be human.

The film has a run time of approximately 15 minutes and features interviews with approximately 50 swimmers from all walks of life.

‘Just Add Water’ won Best Documentary Short at the Big Fridge International Film Festival in 2022, was nominated for Best Documentary at the Nicomedia International Film Awards in 2023 and has been officially selected by five more film festivals so far.
